Lou Ann Keiser

Writing intentional, inspirational fiction for the glory of God

Lou Ann Keiser has been reading since she was three and writing since she could form the letters. She didn’t begin serious writing, though, until her children left home for college. Lou Ann cut her writing teeth by blogging and studying how to write. She edited books for friends, published her first book, and started another blog. She landed her dream job, editing textbooks, while finishing her debut novel.

Lou Ann wrote Jose’s Zulo from her love of the Basque region of Spain. She and her family lived and ministered in Basque cities and villages for more than thirty-six years. The Basque Country’s natural beauty, culture, history, and people come together in Jose’s Zulo. It is realistic Christian fiction, set in the 1990s.

Lou Ann has published several nonfiction works. His Ways, Your Walk, is a practical handbook for women who desire to grow in biblical understanding. She wrote sixteen of the 365 entries for Gleanings from the Fields, a devotional by Baptist missionary women. Lou Ann also contributed to Kimberly Rae’s Overcomer, a gospel-centered workbook for troubled women. She blogged at In the Way, In Her Shoes (Baptist Missionary Women), and Walking in the Way. In Spanish, she wrote for Lemonhass, a blog for Spanish-speaking homeschooling families.

Besides writing, Lou Ann enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, cooking, Bible study, visiting with friends, and drinking strong coffee. She holds a degree in art and has worked in graphic design, teaching Spanish, editing textbooks, and other interesting jobs. She and her husband retired to the Greenville, South Carolina area where they enjoy petting other people’s dogs and living closer to their children and grandchildren.
