Lou Ann Keiser portrait

Hello and Welcome!

I grew up in West Virginia, Virginia, and New Jersey. After I married, my husband and I lived in South Carolina for a few years before we moved to Spain with our baby daughter. We lived in Spain for thirty-six years.

Now, we are retired and once again living in upstate South Carolina, where the rains don’t last long and the brilliant sun blesses us year-round. Living close to our children and grandchildren is a great bonus.

My love for the Basque region of Spain inspired my debut novel, Jose’s Zulo. Jose is a Basque sleeper terrorist who finds that the unexpected consequences of his actions caused death…and affects his family. The word zulo means “hiding place” in the Basque language, Euskera. Join Jose on his journey!

All my books are squeaky clean and contain the gospel. My goals are to entertain, enlighten, and inspire.

Follow me for more details about my writing process, the Basque Country’s history, and new works in progress. Sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss a thing. You can also follow me on social media.

God bless you!

Jose’s Zulo

By day, Jose is an ordinary machinist. By night, he hides deadly secrets in a hidden zulo for a Basque terrorist cell—until one final job forces him to confront the human cost of his silence.

When an unexpected challenge from an elderly neighbor sets him on a new path, Jose begins a dangerous search for peace and truth. Set against the striking backdrop of northern Spain’s Basque Country, this is a story of conscience, courage, and the high price of choosing what is right.

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”

Psalm 90:17
